These rules cover how you treat other players and how you play. They apply to everything you write or create in VoidMarch — chat messages, private messages, commander names, planet names, alliance names, tags and descriptions — and to how you use your account. They are part of the Terms of Service.

Conflict is part of the game

VoidMarch is a competitive game. Attacking, spying on, outmaneuvering and betraying other commanders inside the game's rules is allowed, and so is friendly trash talk. Those rules end where abuse of a real person begins. Destroying someone's fleet is gameplay. Following them into private messages with threats or slurs is not.

What isn't allowed

  • Harassment and bullying. Repeated unwanted contact, insults aimed at a person, encouraging others to pile on, or continuing after someone blocks you.
  • Threats. Threats of violence or harm against anyone, including jokes that read as real threats.
  • Hate. Attacking or demeaning people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, serious illness or age.
  • Sexual content. Sexual messages, sexual names or descriptions, or unwanted sexual comments. Any content that sexualizes minors is never allowed. We report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children as the law requires.
  • Personal information. Posting someone's real name, address, phone number, photos, social media accounts or other private details without their permission.
  • Impersonation. Pretending to be VoidMarch staff, a moderator or another player.
  • Scams and spam. Phishing for passwords, offering real-money trades, advertising, or flooding chat.
  • Illegal content. Content that is illegal where you live or that promotes illegal activity, including self-harm encouragement, terrorism and the sale of illegal goods.
  • Offensive names. Commander, planet and alliance names and tags that break any of these rules.

One commander per person

Each person may control one commander in a universe. Don't create extra accounts to send yourself resources, to scout or to get around attack limits. Different people may play from the same household or network, and a shared address alone is not a violation, but each person must control only their own account.

Do not use accounts you control to funnel resources to another account or to evade game limits.

Your account is yours alone

  • Don't share your password or let someone else play your commander. If you need a break, use vacation mode.
  • Don't sell, buy, give away or trade accounts.
  • You are responsible for what happens on your account.

No real-money trading

Don't buy, sell or trade commanders, planets, fleets, resources or Credits for real money, gift cards, cryptocurrency or anything else outside the game. Scammers use these offers to steal accounts, and we can't help recover losses from them.

No cheating tools or automation

  • Don't use bots, scripts, macros, auto-clickers or programs that play for you or send commands automatically.
  • Don't use modified clients or tools that read or change the game's data or network traffic to gain an advantage.
  • Don't interfere with the game's servers or other players' connections, or access accounts or data that aren't yours.

Report bugs and don't exploit them

If you find a bug that gives an unfair advantage, such as duplicating resources or ships, report it to support@playvoidmarch.com and stop using it.

Respect the game's protections

Newcomer protection, the daily attack limit and vacation mode exist to keep the game playable. Don't use extra accounts or coordination designed to get around them.

Respect age protections

Do not use alternate accounts, false age information or alliance membership changes to get around the limits on features for players known to be under 18. The Terms of Service describe these limits.

Report a problem

Use Report on the message, name or player in the game. You can also block any player from a private chat. Blocking stops their private messages and hides their chat messages from you.

If a restricted message is no longer visible, use Help → Support or email support with the commander name, approximate date and any message identifier or screenshot you already have. Do not recreate prohibited contact to gather evidence.

Knowingly false or abusive reports break these rules too.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.

What we may do

We want VoidMarch to stay safe and enjoyable for everyone, and we decide how to enforce these rules at our sole discretion. When content or behavior breaks these rules, or a player isn't playing within the spirit of the game, we may:

  • remove the content;
  • temporarily restrict your ability to send chat messages;
  • close your account.

We may close an account after a single serious incident. The Terms of Service describe our other rights, including suspending or closing an account.

Telling you about a decision

You can contact support@playvoidmarch.com with questions about decisions that apply to you. We don't have to share decisions about other players, such as an alliance member.

Appeals

We do not offer a formal appeal process for moderation decisions. This does not limit any rights you have under applicable law.

Changes to these rules

We may update these rules as the game changes. Updates take effect when we publish them with a new date. For material changes, we'll ask you to accept the updated rules before you continue using chat.
