Privacy Policy
This policy explains how VoidMarch Games L.L.C. ("we", "us") handles information about players of VoidMarch on iOS, Android and the web, and about visitors to this website.
Summary
- We collect account identifiers and credentials: a commander name, an email address and a password. You may choose screenshots from your device when sending a support report.
- We store your game, your chat messages and the reports your fleets generate so the game works. Other players can see your commander name, planets, alliance and rankings.
- We use gameplay records to run the game and submitted support information to investigate problems and improve the game. Some alliance banners load directly from GIPHY or Tenor, as described below.
- You can delete your account in the app or on the web. Uninstalling the app doesn't delete it.
- VoidMarch is for people aged 13 and over. We require an age-group declaration and restrict some features for players known to be under 18.

What we collect and why
| Information | Where it comes from | Why we use it | How long we keep it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Account: commander name, email address, password, account ID and creation date | You | To create your account, sign you in and keep it secure | Until you delete your account. We may delete an account whose email address isn't verified within 30 days. |
| Verification and reset tokens: a single-use link sent to your address | You | To confirm your address and let you reset your password | Removed by periodic cleanup once used or expired |
| Policy and age records: declared age group, known age band from reviewed evidence, restrictions and affected features, decision revision, Terms version and acceptance time, community-rules acceptance, and a history of the policy versions you have accepted. Older accounts may have a previous adult confirmation. | You and our review of relevant evidence | To apply age and safety protections, required checks and the agreements needed for play and chat | Removed with account deletion. |
| Sign-in sessions: a session token | Created when you sign in | To keep you signed in | Until you sign out, the session expires or you delete your account. |
| Gameplay: planets, moons, resources, buildings, research, ships, fleets and missions, battle and espionage reports, rankings, vacation status and when you were last active | You and the game | To run the game and resolve what happens in the universe | Until you delete your account. |
| Chat: world, alliance and private messages | You | To deliver messages and enforce our rules | Deleted automatically after a limited period, unless needed for an open report. Account deletion is described below. |
| Community: contacts, blocked players, alliance names, tags, descriptions and applications | You | To provide community features | Until removed through game features or account deletion, subject to the effects on other alliance members described on the deletion page. |
| Reports and moderation: reports you send, reports about you, reported content and enforcement actions | You, other players and us | To enforce our rules | Kept while we need them to enforce our rules, resolve disputes and protect players and the game. Open cases remain while unresolved. |
| Credits: your balance and transaction history, and purchase records from Apple and Google, such as transaction identifiers, products, quantities and refund status. | You, Apple and Google | To provide Credits, prevent fraud, handle refunds and keep accounting records | Your Credits balance and in-game transaction history: until you delete your account. After account deletion we keep minimum purchase records, such as the store transaction identifier, product, date and refund status, for as long as we need them for accounting, tax, fraud-prevention and legal purposes. |
| In-game support: ticket text, selected screenshots, commander/universe, screen and planet context, device model, OS, app/build version, viewport, locale/time zone and recent action references | You and the app when submitting a report | To investigate problems, respond to your request and improve the game | Kept as feedback. When you delete your account, we remove your account, commander, universe, planet, locale, time zone and action references from your tickets and keep the rest, including screenshots, as feedback that is no longer linked to your account. Screenshots can show in-game names and other details. |
| Security information: IP address and account or email identifiers used to limit repeated attempts | Your device and account requests | To limit repeated sign-in attempts and protect accounts | Kept for a short period, then removed by periodic cleanup. |
| Action records: the actions your game sends, used to prevent the same action being applied twice after a connection problem | Your device | To keep the game reliable | Details are removed automatically after a short period. Minimal identifiers that prevent duplicate actions remain until account deletion. |
| Server logs | Our servers | To find and fix problems and protect the service | Kept for a limited period, then deleted automatically. |
| Support emails: your email address, what you write and any attachments | You | To answer you | Kept as long as we need them to answer you and keep a record of your request. |
We automatically screen what players write for prohibited terms and may refuse or replace it.
Sign in with Apple or Google
If you continue with Apple or Google, that company confirms your identity and tells us your email address and a unique account identifier for VoidMarch. We store that identifier and the email address it gave us with your account so you can sign in again, and we use your email for the same purposes as an email signup. Google also sends your name and profile picture, which we don't keep. If you choose Apple's "Hide My Email", we only receive a relay address that forwards to you. When you delete your VoidMarch account, we remove the identifier.
Community board
When you post on the community board we store what you write (titles, posts, replies and chat messages), the reactions and poll votes you add, and when you last read each channel. Board posts are public to every commander in your universe. If you attach a battle report to a brag, we store a copy of the commanders involved, ships, losses, debris and loot. Most board content is deleted automatically after a period that depends on the channel and its activity. Staff posts, and some replies under them, stay until staff remove them. If you delete your account, your posts and replies are replaced with "[deleted]" and your reactions and votes are removed.
This website
When you visit this website, our servers receive your IP address and the pages you request. We use them to deliver and secure the site and may keep them in short-term logs.
Do Not Track. We don't track visitors or players across other websites or apps, so we don't respond differently to browser Do Not Track signals. We don't allow third parties to collect information about your activity across websites over time through this website. In the game, GIPHY and Tenor can collect information from your device when an alliance banner loads, as described below.
Who can see your information
- Other players can see your commander name, planet names and positions, alliance, points and rankings, whether you were recently active, and whether you are in vacation mode or newcomer protection. Players you message or share an alliance with see those messages. Battle and espionage reports show information about the planets and fleets involved to the players involved.
- Service providers process information for us under contracts that require them to protect it as this policy describes:
- A third-party cloud provider hosts our website, game servers and database.
- A third-party email provider hosts our support and privacy email and delivers the account emails we send you, such as verification links and password resets.
- Apple and Google distribute the app and process purchases under their own privacy policies. Their age and approval services may supply platform signals or present system requests for a required acknowledgment or parental approval.
- GIPHY and Tenor host some alliance banners. Displaying one connects your device directly to that provider, which receives your IP address and image request. The app's image-loading connection can also send technical information and provider cookies when present. The providers describe using request and usage information for delivery, security, analytics and advertising, and may infer approximate location from IP addresses. See the GIPHY Privacy Policy and Google Privacy Policy for Tenor.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or to investigate fraud or abuse.
- A buyer or successor if the game or our business is sold or transferred.
How long we keep information
We do not set the retention periods for information processed by GIPHY or Tenor. Their privacy policies describe their processing and retention practices. Our account-deletion process removes the VoidMarch records described on our account deletion page; it does not itself delete information those providers have retained from direct image requests.
We keep information as described in the table above. Cleanup is periodic and batched, so removal may occur later. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your information as described on the account deletion page. Deleted information can remain in recovery copies until scheduled expiration and deletion finish.
Security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, as required by applicable law.
No system is perfectly secure.
Your choices and rights
- Ask about or correct it. Contact us with questions about the information we hold about your account, or to ask us to correct it.
- Delete it. Delete your account in the app or on the web. See Delete your account.
Send requests to support@playvoidmarch.com with your commander name. We may ask you to prove you control the account before we act, to protect against unauthorized requests.
Age requirement
VoidMarch is for people aged 13 and over. Players must declare an age group before entering gameplay. A declaration is not independent age verification. We limit some features for players known to be under 18, as described in the Terms of Service.
Contact support@playvoidmarch.com if you believe a child under 13 is using the game or an age decision is incorrect. If we learn that a player is under 13, we will delete the account.
We may use age information from Apple or Google where the law or their rules require it.
Changes to this policy
Updates take effect when we post them on this page with a new date. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we'll ask you to accept the updated policy before you continue playing.
